Why did I consider getting the Urban Decay Theodora Palette?
I love Urban Decay eyeshadows and ever since they announced this palette, I’ve been wanting to see it in person and try it out. I also got the Glinda palette but I think this one has colors that will look better for browned eyed girls and brunettes. Urban Decay created these two limited edition palettes inspired by Disney’s Oz The Great And Powerful movie.
Where can you get it?
You can get the Urban Decay Theodora Palette online at Sephora.com
What did I find in the package?
This palette comes in a tin container that flips open and which contains a full-sized mirror. One complain I have is that the mirror doesn’t stay up which makes it kind of useless since you have to be constantly holding it to use it. Inside, you find six removable eye shadow pans (0.05oz) and a travel size Zero eyeliner pencil. There’s also a super saturated lip color (0.10 oz) but it doesn’t fit inside the actual palette. Theodora feels very portable and easy to travel with.
Time to try it. What did it do for me?
This palette consists of an array of neutrals (lots of browns) and a pop of color in green and gold glitter. Overall, these eyeshadows are really impressive. The single shade pans have a buttery texture and apply and blend like a dream. I’ve tried these shadows applying them early in the morning (with an eye primer) and they stay put all the way through late at night when I’m ready to remove the makeup. The duo-shade pans are not as impressive, unfortunately. I also get a little bit of fallout after a couple of hours. Nevertheless, that’s not a deal breaker for me!! :) All the other shades had a soft, silky texture with excellent color payoff including the matte shade (named Beware).
The Super Saturated High Gloss Color in Theodora is a bright red lip product. It has a shiny finish, close to a lipgloss but doesn’t have the same stickiness. Unfortunately, it dried my lips out a little bit after about an hour. I think it’s very similar to Milani’s Hot Flash in color and consistency. This is the first time I’ve tried the super saturated lip product from Urban Decay and the pigmentation is spot on!
The 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Zero is your average black eyeliner. The best use I find for it is smudging close to the lash line; however, it doesn’t stay put in my waterline at all. Boooooo.

What is my Verdict?
Urban Decay Theodora is a beautiful palette inside and out :) If you love neutrals and browns (like I do) you won’t be disappointed with this palette. Urban Decay is usually pretty consistent with the super pigmented, velvety shadows. AND, if you are a fan of OZ why wouldn’t you give this one a try?!?!
