Why did I consider getting this?
Nothing like a catchy name to get me interested in a product (can hear marketers scrambling right now). Eyeshadows called ‘Arabian Nights’ HAVE to be exotic, sexy and beautiful, right? Well, not everything that glitters is gold.
Where can you get this?
I bought the NARS Arabian Nights Eyeshadow Trio online at narscosmetics.com
What did I find in the package?
The compact includes a mirror and three separate eyeshadows, for a total of 0.17 oz. of product). There’s no brush in this compact.
Time to try it. What did it do for me?
Ever since I saw this color in Beauty Black Book Blog I thought… Must. Try. Now. Ohhhhh no, big mistake… This trio turned out to be an Arabian nightmare!
Even though it looks the trio has 3 different colors, all the colors apply black to my lid. I saw no distintion in colors whatsoever. You would never tell from the pictures. They all went black no matter how much I applied. The glitter was not finelly milled, so I’ll call it chunky glitter. The main difference betwen the 3 eyeshadows is the glitter color. The first color is a black base with pinkish glitter. The midle one is a black base with purple glitter and the last one is a black base with silver glitter.
Not one of them kept the glitter properly adhered to my lid. The glitter ended up all over my face :-( I was so disappointed.
I even tried to use these eyeshadows damp, but had no luck either.

What is the Verdict?
I really wanted this trio to work but it didn’t for me at all. I’ll be sending this back to NARS for sure. Make sure you try it in a store before you buy it, just in case.
