NARS Ponderosa Cream Shadow
Why did I consider getting this NARS Ponderosa Cream Shadow?
Limited Edition NARS Chocolate eyeshadow?? I’m in!
Where can you get this?
I got my NARS Ponderosa Cream Shadow online at narscosmetics.com
What did I find in the package?
You get a itty bitty cream eyeshadow (0.1 oz). When I first opened the box I thought it was a sample package! (That’s how tiny it is) And it might be that all NARS cream eyeshadows are this size, but I had never ordered one before. The compact does include a mirror, however, there’s no brush.
Time to try it. What did it do for me?
Ever since I saw this color in Beauty Black Book Blog I thought… omg, I need that eyeshadow in my life. I have nothing like it in terms of color. I have tested it in “my lab”, aka my eyes, and so far I have seen no creasing in about 6 hours (win!). The texture of the eyeshadow is very smooth. It blends easy with other cream eyeshadows and with powder eyeshadows as well. Something I noticed is it doesn’t even feel you are wearing anything on the lid which makes it super lightweight. It can be applied lightly for a subtle wash of color or layered to achieve deeper intensity. In the picture below I applied a light wash of color to my lid with my finger and then I blended the edges with a Blending Brush.
The color is a dark chocolaty brown with gold shimmer. Once you apply it to your lids the shimmer is well distributed, so the lid doesn’t look like a disco ball. I also noticed I didn’t get any glitter fallout as well. Another thing to note, the more you blend this color the lesser intensity you get. My suggestion would be not to over blend :-)

What is the Verdict?
I tried to find something similar in my eyeshadow collection to this color and I just didn’t have anything. I have tons of browns but this particular one is a deep deep dark chocolate one.. with shimmer… quite unique to me.
Let me know what you think about it.. Are you thinking of grabbing this one for yourself?
