It took a long, long time for me to write down my thoughts on this Bateau Ivre Eyeshadow Duo. It’s not that I didn’t like it (I do!). It’s one of several products that I got last year but I never had a chance to review. I just remembered about it because I was looking at my makeup collection looking for Spring colors for inspiration, and I came across it. For that reason, this is very much in season right now.

Not a bad distinction, right? Like some other NARS eyeshadows I’ve reviewed recently (NARS Paramaribo and NARS Lhasa, I love the quality on this eyeshadow duo.
These matte eyesadows have great pigmentation, and both colors are very easy to blend. They last about 8 hours on my lids with an eyeshadow primer, so I would definitely recommend that if you need all day wear. If you’re looking for intense color, you can definitely try them with a damp brush and that should bring out some additional color. This variation gives them a really wide range of uses, from a subtle, everyday color boost to a more intense color splash. If you’re in the market for a matte, interesting looking pair of blue eyeshadows, give this NARS Bateau Ivew Eyeshadow Duo a try.
