Why did I consider getting the Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder

I’ve never tried the Guerlain Sheer Bronzing Powders before, but when I saw the Spring/Summer collection pictures, I felt compelled to pick this one up. There are two new shades: Sun Blondes and Sun Brunettes. Of course, I picked up the brunettes one :-)

What did I find in the package?

The compact comes packed in a small box. It has a dark brown casing. In the lid, it has the words Terracotta and Guerlain engraved. The Guerlain logo comes through the lid as well. This compact looks very similar to the Terracotta 4 Seasons; however, there’s a considerable weight difference. This bronzing powder lacks the weight and heftiness of the Terracotta 4 seasons, which makes it feel less luxurious. The total content of product is 10g or 0.35oz.

Time to try it. What did it do for me?

This powder has a beautiful mosaic pattern. The colors are a mix of coral, bronze, copper and light brown. All combined, they give me a sun-kissed glow! When you look at it in the pan you see some gold flecks. I can see these golden flecks give me a sort of glow in my cheeks, so it’s like having a bronzer and illuminator all bunlded up in one powder. If you don’t like tiny flecks you won’t like this powder since it’s not entirely matte.

This Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder Sun Brunettes has a soft and finely milled texture. You really don’t need a lot of product to get a beautiful glow. For my skin tone, I wound’t use it to contour my cheekbones because it’s not dark enough for my taste, and also because it’s not completely matte.

This Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder wears for about 7 hours on my cheeks which I think is great! It has the classic, signature, Guerlain scent, which I hate! HATE WITH A PASSION, lol! I do LOVE Guerlain makeup but the scent of their products give me a terrible headache, so I always have to whine about the fragrance. I’m sure I’m not alone.

What is my Verdict?

All the Guerlain makeup products I own are luxurious pieces that I get because I love their quality and because they make beautiful collectible pieces :-) I’m very pleased with this Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder. I think the Sun Brunettes shades look beautiful with my skin tone. All 5 different shades swirl together to create a beautiful sun kissed glow. The “built in” illuminator is what makes the skin look healthy and alive. Well done Guerlain, well done.
