The Guerlain Powder Brush by Emilio Pucci was released with the Guerlain Terra Azzurra Collection for Summer 2012. First thing I will say is, the package of this brush is so cute! It comes in a gorgeous little pouch with the Emilio Pucci design. The brush itself is 4″ long. This small size and the pouch it comes in make it very convenient for travel. The bristles have a gorgeous navy blue color that shines a bit when the light hits them.
This brush can be multi purpose. It can be used to apply powder, bronzer or even blush. In this collection, this powder brush was designed to go hand in hand with the Guerlain Meteorites Perles D’Azur Illuminating Powder but I’ve also used it with the Guerlain Terra Azzurra Bronzing Powder & Blush as well.
However, I have a mayor issue recommending this brush since the quality is just not there. I’ve had it for 3 weeks now and it’s been shedding constantly. Not only does it shed but I also find it very stiff, not super soft like I envisioned a product from this brand. I don’t think this brush is worth the hefty price tag ($43). After being disappointed with the Guerlain Terracotta Retractable Kabuki Brush last Spring, I thought this one would be better. After all it was a collab with the house of Emilio Pucci! To my surprise, it was not.
If you’re a die hard Guerlain fan and still would like to try it, you can get this brush at Nordstrom.com or at Sephora.com.
