This is a stunning limited-edition highlighter part of the Versailles de Chanel Cruise Makeup Collection 2013.
Where can you get it?
I bought it online at Chanel.com because I couldn’t find it anywhere else. I think you can get it at any Chanel counter.
What did I find in the package?
The compact comes inside a black pouch which has has a pocket for the sponge applicator. The compact itself is black with the Chanel logo on top. What really won my heart was the design of the powder, it’s so striking! It resembles some architectural details of the famous Chateau de Versailles. Interestingly enough, they also threw in a fly into the powder detail. ;)
Time to try it. What did it do for me?
This powder is nothing short of divine! The design, the color, the texture, the pigmentation…. Oh. So. Pretty! I know the design in the powder will eventually fade but it’s also really cute to look at while it lasts :)
The powder itself feels so buttery soft and it applies and blends with ease. The illuminating effect is not overpowering and it can be used to enhance the cheekbones or to highlight under the brow. The color is a beautiful gold rose with micro glitter that actually works perfect with my olive skin tone.
Here are some pictures of the Chanel Mouche de Beauté:
What is my Verdict?
I highly recommend you get this illuminating powder if you absolutely LOVE Chanel, if you’re a makeup collector or even if you’re just a fan of gorgeous things. I love the Mouche de Beauté because of its beauty as well as its versatility. It’s just the perfect color for my skin tone!
