Namaste, beauties! Welcome to my website!
Why this website? There’s so many others out there!!
Hi! My name is Kriselie and I LOVE everything related to makeup! I’m not a makeup artist nor am I an expert on makeup. To me, makeup is a way of expressing my creativity. I grew up frustrated with my ‘art’ abilities, seeing I never learned how to paint even the sun! With makeup I feel I can somehow ‘paint’ something beautiful. It is one of those truly universal traditions, according to Wikipedia:
The history of cosmetics spans at least 6000 years of human history, and almost every society on earth.
Those ancient Egyptians sure were onto something…
Where have I been all these years?
I am currently 33, originally from Puerto Rico but have been living in the United States for 11 years. I have a BS in Computer Engineering and worked for IBM for several years, but the full day hide-in-the-cube-coding experience wasn’t for me. I took a break for a couple of years searching for true inspiration, and from time to time volunteered for several organizations (March of Dimes, hospices, hospitals) doing different things. I then decided to get real estate broker’s license and currently work as a Realtor® in my local city. I love helping and working with others, which is part of why I created this website, to connect with others who love to ‘paint their faces‘ as well.
Where does my name come from?
It’s not Puerto Rican, it’s not Spanish, and it’s not English. It is a combination of my mom’s name and my dad’s name. They took the ‘Kris’ part from my dad Cristobal (with the K for a twist) and the ‘elie’ part from my mom Elizabeth. That’s how Kriselie came to be.
Who do I share my life with?
I have an amazing husband who’s been with me for better and for worse and who has supported me in every step of my life since we’re together. His presence in my life is one of the greatest gifts the universe has given me.
I have two doggies. They are the sweetest maltipoos in the world! Sandy is our boy and he is the trouble maker, the curious, explorer, adventurer, and most active, playful one (wants to play with any dog no matter the size). He is so intelligent and obedient, but needs to be active most of the day. He will definitely trade tricks for treats. Bella is our little girl, the little diva, the perfect lap dog. She likes to be held and petted all day long. She loves her belly rubs as much as I love to give them. She is very affectionate. They are both about the same age and their favorite game is wrestling! I could easily spend hours just watching them play… I love it!
What do I like to do?
In my spare time I love walking with my dogs around the city, hanging out with friends, taking pictures, dancing, watching makeup videos and am always looking for ways to live ‘la vida loca’ (you only live this life once, right?). I adore traveling, seeing new places and learning from new cultures. I really think people are so much better when they are open to learning from others who are different. I’ve been fortunate enough to go to Europe a couple of times, and am always planning the next mini-retirement. You gotta keep movin’!

Favorite Quote: My favorite quote comes from Eleanor Roosevelt is
Do what you feel in your heart to be right- for you’ll be criticized anyway. You’ll be damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.
I has a lot of meaning to me because I grew up thinking I always needed to please others, and was always afraid to express myself and talk my mind. I have learned that no matter who you are or what you do, some people will love you, others will not. Tough.
What are my future plans for this blog?
I plan on adding product reviews as I learn and try different cosmetics, as well as tutorials of techniques or looks I learn along the way. As I said before, I’m no makeup artist but I love trying different looks out!
Thank you for visiting my blog!
I’ve learned so many things from all people who at one time or another have crossed my path. I’m grateful for each and everyone of them because they have made me grow and be who I am right now (challenges, defeats, and struggles included!).
I believe all people are beautiful. To me beauty is not about how you look but rather how you feel inside about yourself. Beauty comes from within, in recognizing that we all have, regardless of race, color, or shape, a beautiful self. We just need to find our own way to let it shine. Makeup to me is not about making yourself what you are not, but rather finding different ways to express your inner beauty.
That is why I chose the title, Namaste, Beauty! Namaste is a hindi greeting, which means
Namaste: The Divinity within me perceives and adores the Divinity within you. Let the inner Goddess in you express itself!
